Join me at my studio:

STEPNEY CITY FARM

Join me on Saturdays in my studio at Stepney City Farm - a three-acre rural oasis, ten minutes from Liverpool Street. It’s home to donkeys, pigs, bunnies and even a ferret. You will feel far from the city in this peaceful, green paradise!

On arrival, you will be greeted with tea and snacks and offered an art robe to protect your clothes.

We’ll then head outside and you’ll be guided through a series of art exercises to loosen up and get the creative juices flowing - moving out of your head and into your body.

Back in the studio, I’ll demonstrate various techniques and tips, from painting with mud and sawdust, to splashing paint Pollock style! The focus is always on the creative process as much as the outcome.

Then it’s your turn to get messy and free, allowing the inspiration from the farm and studio to guide your creative process. And I’ll be on hand all the time, whether you need some help mixing a certain shade, or a little reminder to detach from that inner perfectionist…I’ve got you!

By the end, you will have connected with your creativity in a new setting; moved through limiting beliefs, exercised the right side of the brain; have learnt a new perspective on art-making, and painted a unique piece to hang on the wall.

These workshops are aimed at anyone who would like to get creative but lacks either the space, materials or motivation to get started. Whilst I run regular workshops on Saturdays at 11am-2pm, I also take bookings for hen parties, birthdays, couples and anything else you can dream up, so just let me know what you’re looking for by filling in the form below:

The investment for the three hour workshop is £79 per person. This includes a canvas each and all materials, guidance from me and unlimited tea, coffee & snacks.

My intention is to make art accessible to everyone regardless of finances. If money is tight and the standard price is not possible for you, please just click to the button below to let me know how much you can pay.

FAQs

  • Studio Saturdays are aimed at anyone - individuals, couples, friends, families - who would like to get creative but lacks either the space, materials or motivation to get started. The workshop taps into the wellbeing benefits of creativity too, so whether you’re a mindfulness newbie or a seasoned meditator, you’ll soak up the effects of art-making in nature.

The class is suitable for any level, from complete beginners to more experienced artists. The maximum class size is ten so I can give you as much individual attention as is needed or wanted.

  • Yes, this class is made for you! If you’re apprehensive, just know this class is not art like was (probably) taught at school. Think of it more as a way to express yourself and be free, not to be judged for technicalities.

It’s much more about the process than outcome, and I’ll guide you through the process so that you won’t feel overwhelmed!

I’ll guide you in moving away from the idea that you must be ‘good at art’ to be a flourishing creative! This is a non-judgmental space and the main aim is to have fun.

    I got you!

  • Whether you want to create an artwork for your living room wall, make a unique gift for a friend, or just reconnect with your creative side, this is a space you can do just that. Each month there will be a loose theme to help provoke thoughts and inspiration.

Once everyone has arrived at my studio, we’ll wander around the farm, sketching animals and plants. I’ll guide you through a series of arty exercises to loosen up, move out of the ‘left-brain’ and get the creative juices flowing.

Back in the studio, I will guide you through the process of creating your artwork, with teaching tips along the way. I’ll demonstrate various techniques and tips, from painting with mud and sawdust, to splashing paint Pollock style! I will walk you through the process of building texture, colour-mixing, mark-making and learning how to work intuitively. The focus is always on the creative process as much as the outcome.

  • Lots of things! Creativity is proven to decrease anxiety, decrease your heart rate, boost mood and regulate the nervous system.

Also, this is a creative sanctuary, a space to disconnect from busy life and be freely yourself. You’ll meet like-minded people and have a wholesome, creative time amongst nature, complimented by good chats and tea/coffee!

By the end, you will have connected with your creativity, moved through limiting beliefs and exercised the right side of the brain. You will take home not only a unique painting to hang on the wall, but also a sense of clarity, peace, and maybe even a sense of that child-like joy we all yearn for!
