About your Host - LIv crane

  • We start with a stroll past the pigs and hidden gardens of the farm, engaging in fun creative exercises that will help you open up your senses, let go of control and tap into intuition.

We explore expressive mark-making, drawing with eyes closed, sketching sounds and opening up into different brainwave states conducive to art-making.

I give a sprinkling of neuroscience, read a poem and then we head back to the studio.

  • I demonstrate how to use organic textures such as sand from the Thames foreshore and mud from the farm; showing you techniques such as blending and colour mixing, splashing and dripping; working with recycled packaging and polyfilla to create depth and contrast.

  • Then it’s over to you - taking inspiration from the art in the studio, the surrounding nature, and of course your own inner landscape, you can start putting what you’ve learnt into practice and creating your very own unique work of art on canvas.

I’ll be guiding you and helping wherever needed, music will be playing and teas and coffees flowing.

  • At the end we have a group sharing, picture-taking and an opportunity to have your work framed there and then.

Everyone leaves with a smile on their face and a finished piece in a brown paper bag.
